NOVI live exercise

Intervention d'un pompier dans la salle de concert

On Thursday, the Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital coordinated a large-scale “Multiple Casualties” (NOVI) exercise, simulating a gas explosion at Tremplin in Beaumont.

Objective?
To test the responsiveness and coordination of the SAMU teams, firefighters from SDIS 63 (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Puy-de-Dôme), and law enforcement agencies in response to a major crisis situation.

Over 250 participants were mobilized, including 50 students (from IFSI, IFA, and DESMU) playing the victims with impressive realism! A huge thank you to RRT France (Rapid Relief Team) for their support throughout the day, providing meals to participants — a valuable gesture that greatly contributed to the smooth running of the exercise.

Congratulations to the organizers for the meticulous preparation of this essential exercise, and kudos to all the responders for their commitment and professionalism!
