A serious accident occurred this afternoon, Wednesday 11 February 2026, during a joint mountain helicopter rescue exercise carried out by the SDIS and the CHU, resulting in the fatal fall of a young CHU doctor and an SDIS instructor.
Emergency services were immediately mobilized.
A psychological support unit, provided by the CHU’s CUMP (Emergency Medical and Psychological Unit), has been deployed to assist all professionals involved.
The hospital community is deeply shaken by this tragedy. The CHU extends its sincere condolences to the families of the professionals who lost their lives in the line of duty.
